The LJ Classic is an annual basketball tournament held in
memory of Lennell M. Jackson, Jr.
Every August, sixteen talented teams from the tristate
area gather for a day of family fun and competitive
basketball.
Proceeds of the LJ Classic provide financial assistance to
student athletes from Delaware in pursuit of higher
education.
The LJ Classic is presented by board members and
volunteers of the Lennell M. Jackson, Jr. Classic
Corporation, a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization in the State
of Delaware.
7/18/10 - Newark, DE - Jeffery Sullivan of Lake Forest High
School received the 2010 Outstanding Male Student Award
presented in memory of Lennell M. Jackson, Jr. The award
carries a $1,000 scholarship. The award was presented at
the Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club as part of the Good Works
Coalition's Fourth Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala.
